FAQ

We wanted to keep the first year of the jamboree small and manageable, so everyone has the best experience! Furthermore, I am not in a place financially where I can lose money, so keeping it small feels safe.

Unfortunately turnout to virtual events has been very bad, with about only 30% of people who registered actually showing up. We wanted to avoid that kind of experience IRL.

Stuff happens, we get it. However, we are paying for the venue, food, rentals, and all materials up front, so we cannot offer refunds.

We will do everything we can to help you resell your ticket.  We will be maintaining a running waiting list for people in search of tickets, so we are hoping it will be easy for you to find a buyer.

At The Candy Factory in Lancaster, PA. This location is in a great part of town, close to a lot of cool stuff. It also meets all ADA requirements for accessibility and it is a very inspiring space. The live episode will be at a different venue.

Lancaster has its own Amtrak station and tickets are very affordable when purchased in advance.

Lancaster is about 90 minutes from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) and Philadelphia International Airport.

There will also be a Slack channel for all attendees to carpool and rideshare.

We recommend choosing a hotel downtown, so that you can walk around the city and to/from The Candy Factory.  That said, Lancaster is actually a popular tourist destination, so there are MANY hotels, motels, and campgrounds to choose from.

We kinda have it all out here: our own amusement park (Dutch Wonderland), Amish farms, buggy rides, thrifting and vintage shopping, small museums, an incredible farmer’s market, and lots of great food and coffee.
