Clotheshorse is a massive financial failure. Why? I just don’t want to do things that do not align with my values, like taking ads from online casinos or doing affiliate marketing here on social media. Fortunately I work a full time job that does support me!
Many of you were asking for merch for a long time, but I felt super weird about it. I literally spent years thinking about it. You know how I feel about merch and promo tees. And I didn’t want to be making more stuff for the landfill. At the same time, random people on the internet were taking my posts and printing them on stuff/selling them, which made the whole “I work for free” thing feel super terrible.
After SO much research and testing, two years ago, I found a merch situation that feels okay for me: iron-on transfers and stickers.
My hope is that you will use the transfers on thrifted shirts or other tote bags, shirts, textiles that you already have lying around. You can easily iron them on with a home iron. They can also cover existing screenprints. I’ve been loving seeing what you have created with these transfers over the last two years. Let’s get even more life out of something that already exists!
Oh p.s. all orders ship in thrifted packaging!
